The all-singing, all-loling battery tool campaign.

STIHL is one of the most trusted brands in New Zealand, but they had a perception problem to solve. While everyone knew about the quality and performance of their petrol tools, their awareness in the battery tool market was low compared to their competitors.

First and foremost, we needed to lift awareness of STIHL SHOP’s battery tool range. Then find fun ways to communicate their benefits. After that, the superior quality of the tools would do the rest.

We gave STIHL battery tools the spotlight through a hyper-catchy song. An earwormy way to get the word “battery” permanently associated with STIHL tools.

Then we created a campaign of comedy skits, bringing each tool to life with voiceovers provided by comedians from 7 Days. Each video delivers a different benefit of STIHL battery; the campaign also had flex to deliver hard retail, in store collateral, and social.
