A new way to learn.
Colab is an online-only education platform with a special focus on upskilling - helping people develop their skills for new careers, or to get to the next level in their current one.
As an entirely new platform, this brand needed to be built from the ground up - name, identity, look, feel, colour palette, and tone of voice. Because Colab is digital-first, we took an unusual approach to design. We designed a website mockup to get a sense of the platform. Then we took the elements from that mockup and turned them into a design system.
Wayfinding icons became glyphs and graphics, content cards became frames, and hyperlinked text became ways to highlight key words and phrases in brand and retail messaging.
The result is a design system that feels fresh and dynamic, while being highly functional and easy to navigate.
